Laurie Mueller, MSW, LICSW
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
I specialize in the treatment of adults with eating disorders and I have been working with this population for over the last 15 years. Over this time, I have worked in the inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient settings. I feel honored to help clients navigate the recovery process and reclaim their lives from this disorder. I will also work with clients on treating other mental health disorders that may accompany an eating disorder, such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
I aim to provide a safe container to explore, grow and heal from past wounding. My approach can be described as caring and direct, with a healthy side of humor. I most frequently use principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in the therapeutic process, but I will tailor my framework to best fit the person’s needs in the moment; this may include EMDR, CBT-E, Emmanuel Approach, and DBT. I am also open to integrating spiritual beliefs into therapy upon request.
