On Tuesday November 3rd we broke ground on the construction within our new building, to be home to Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center in early 2016.
On Wednesday November 4th, staff gathered at the building to witness the process at its’ beginning and also to offer a blessing and intentions over our new space.
It is with great excitement, anticipation, and gratitude that we partake in this next phase of WECHC. We would like to share with you, our community, that blessing. We invite anyone who so wishes to continue to offer their own blessings, prayers, and kind intentions over this space and this process to do so in the weeks and months ahead.

Blessing of a New Building

May this building shelter our work,
may our hearts be tranquil here,
blessed by peace the world may not give.
May this office be a fruitful place,
where the graces of our desire
always find the pathway to our door.
May nothing destructive ever cross this threshold.
May this be a safe place,
full of understanding and acceptance,
where all can be as they are,
without the need of any mask or pretense or image.
May this space be a place of discovery,
where the possibilities that sleep in the clay of our spirits
can emerge to deepen and refine our vision
for all that is yet to come to birth.
May it be a space of courage,
where healing and growth are loved,
where dignity and forgiveness prevail;
a place where patience of spirit is prized,
and the sight of the destination is never lost
though the journey be difficult and slow.
May there be great delight within this building.
May it be a space of welcome for the broken and diminished.
May we have the eyes to see
that no visitor arrives without a gift
and no guest leaves without a blessing.
